Testimony from MA 09
An important ministry that we do when we are out on mission trips is to visit homes where we see there is poverty and need. We work closely with the social workers in the village to find these homes. During one of the home visits we did this summer we experiences something that made an impression both in the youth and in the locals in the village. When the youth knocked on the door of this house, a 13 year old girl came to open the door. She had a 8 year old brother who also was home. These two were the only ones at home. Their father had abandoned them some years back and their mother, who is alcoholic, had been away from home for some days. The children did not know when she would return.
When the youth enter in the house, there is also something else that they meet. A wall covered with urine and the smell of feces. It is all over the furniture, clothes, blankets and curtains. This visit makes a huge impact on the youth and they decide they want to come back to the house the day after. This time more youth join. They roll up their sleeves and work the whole day with mowing the grass around the house, throwing away destroyed things and washing the house. They also encourage the girl living in the house that if she tries to take care of the house and her little brother there is a bigger change for her to get herself a good job in the future. The children get to go with the youth to eat dinner and get a chance to clean up and wash themselves and the youth helped them to find some new clothes. The youth get to lead these two children to Jesus and give them a Latvian children Bible!
It was amazing to see the love these youth were pouring out to this little family and how they served them out of love! One of the youth said :"I have prayed a lot that God would be with the ones who are lonely and sad. But when I went to visit this family I realized that it was ME God wanted to use to do this! I am a tool God wants to use to comfort those who are sad and to be with those who are lonely!"

Testimonies from MA 2010
It was a day we were on a treasure hunt. Before we went, we asked God if it was someone he wanted us to bless in a special way that day. I got a picture of lady with a red sweater with a pattern, which bore a child. However, when we went on a treasure hunt that day, I never saw they lady.
A day after we were in the ghetto and have street meetings for children. After that we walked around a bit in the slummområdet in a couple of hours.
Only when I saw she was the lady, whom God had shown me the day before. So we went over to the lady and was praying for her. I never know why God showed me the lady but it did perhaps something with her wthout me knowing it.
This was a little testimony from the mission adventures. This is not very special, but it did something with me and I understood that God can use little me! It was really cool for me to think about!

I will never forget what God did for me
It was a night where it was heavy rain and we were back in the church after having been to a concert. When I would go down to where we staying in the church, I slipped and fell down the stairs. I shattered a rib, and struck the right side. I could not move without it hurt ... it did even hurt to breathe.
The day after they went out to buy ice cream while I was sitting alone in church. The bible lay next to me and I began to read. Then I came across a verse in Matthew 8.16: "That evening, they brought to Him many who were possessed. He drove out the spirits with a word, and healed all who were sick. How would that word be fulfilled which was spoken through the prophet Isaiah: He took away our infirmities and carried our diseases. "
After reading this verse, I had to go to the bathroom! So I pulled myself to the toilet and when I came out I could not stop smiling:) I was feeling well again! And it was not the only rib that had been good, so was the tail bone that I broke in the winter and dislocated during Easter. Back, head, ankle and everything was very good again :-)
I have never felt so good in my entire life! This made a big impression on me and I will never forget what God has done for me
