Staff

The Mission Adventures (MA) staff is a team of volunteer co-workers and full-time workers. The volunteer workers is part of a network of people that has been involved with MA through previous years. The full-time workers are the ones working with this daily.

VOLUNTEER CO-WORKERS

It’s possible to join MA as a volunteer during the summer and at Easter camps. Every year we bring 40-50 co-workers to be MA leaders.

What does it mean to be staff?

As the staff of Mission Adventures you are a leader for  the youth, and thus a role model for them. You will be helping to support, encourage, challenge and help them to grow in the tasks they face. This is also a unique opportunity for you to go out on a mission trip. You will take on new challenges as a leader and grow with God. We place great emphasis on learning by doing, practicing what has been taught. At the same time you will become acquainted with wonderful people, experience a different culture and make a difference both for those travelling together, and those you meet on outreach.

During the outreach staff will allocate areas of responsibility, which may be the economy, practical work, child evangelism, treasure hunts, etc. There will be an outreachleader and 3 staff that will share the different responsibilities. We want to see you as a staff take on new challenges and grow in what God has given you.

On the staff training before the youth come to Grimerud you will be trained in the role as staff. Therefore, we want to have a good dialogue with you in advance, so we can find out which tasks to give you, both during the training camp and outreach.
