How much does the DTS costs?
The six month long school costs 42 500 NOK, including the outreach (all locations same price). Vaccinations are not included in this price.
What are the outreach locations for the DTS?
The latest locations where we have sent teams are these: Thailand, Germany, the Ukraine, France, Sweden and other European countries. We have a special focus on Europe! This year we will also send a team to Sweden and France!
What happens on outreach?
On outreach we get to put into practice the things we have learned during the lecture phase! We travel to a different countries with the expectation that God will do great things during the coming months! We serve the people living in these countries in many different ways through: evangelism, mercy ministries, organizing and preparing meetings and church services, taking part in prayer walks for the people and the nation, helping out in practical ways, etc.
What are the accommodations like for a student at Grimerud?
During the lecture phase the students live in a dormitory, placed in rooms with 2-3 people. On outreach the living situations depend on where we go and how big the teams are.
What is the closest city? How easily can I get there?
The closest city to Grimerud is called Hamar. The base is about 10 km away from the center and it’s possible to take a bus to town or get a car ride from the base. Hamar is a city of about 28,000 people and has a good selection of stores, cafés and shopping centers. There is also a grocery store closer to the base, about a five minute drive away
