About the backbone
Vision
The vision of the Backbone department is to facilitate the practical aspects so that YWAM Grimerud really can take part in the transformation of Norway, and of bringing the gospel to the Nations. This department truly serves as a “backbone” to the base – without it the base would no longer function. We are passionate about making Grimerud a great place to live, to make sure that the “engine” runs smoothly, as well as ensuring that our staff continues to be developed as they’re serving God in this place.
Description
The Backbone department consists of staff serving the base in a variety of ways. We have people working with carpentry, maintenance, kitchen, hospitality, accounting (base and national), IT, video, web, staff care and development. When these areas function well it’s amazing how incredibly effective we become in accomplishing the things God has called us to do. Practical work is an integral and important part of completing the great commission, so here we’re all missionaries! Everyone involved in practically orientated roles are also encouraged to participate in different outreach initiatives from time to time; such as different overseas trips and local projects.
There is always room for more people in the Backbone department, so if God has equipped you in this area, come and use your giftings to build the Kingdom of God!
