There are around 90 people living and working at the centre. Many families with kids bring lots of life to the base. Some staff live outside of the centre but come daily to work at the base and be part of the fellowship.

How do I find my way to Grimerud from the Oslo Airport?

The easiest way to get to Grimerud from the airport is simply to jump on a train. The train tracks are very easy to figure out and once you get into the right train, it will take you very close to the centre (either Stange or Hamar). If you have contacted Grimerud and agreed that someone will come and pick you up, its just a short 10min ride, and you are here :)

How big is the base, are there many buildings?

The area is pretty big as Grimerud is an old farm. We have the main building where you can find the kitchen, living rooms, dormitories, cafe, and the dining hall. The other big building is the office building, where most of the departments have their offices, plus a dormitory. In addition to these two we also have a new dormitory building, a barn which we use for conferences and bigger events and some houses around the centre where staff live.

How far is the closest grocery store and post office?

The closest store is about 7 min drive away from Grimerud, as well as the post office. You can also buy stamps and envelopes from the base reception and the post officers will pick up the outgoing letters. Grimerud is around 10 minutes drive from Hamar city.

How many nationalities are there at the base and what is the average age?

We have about 15 nationalities altogether who come from all continents of the world. The youngest staff at the centre is 20, the oldest 70 and the average age of staff is 30.
