Inger's testimony

Her thoughts on 24/7
 I was quite excited when I joined the staff of Restore 24/7, as I didn’t know what it would be like. I was used to working in an office, but felt that I should get involved in the ministry of prayer and worship. I wanted to know God better! How would He meet me? Would time go slowly, would it be ‘dry’ in the prayer room for hours on end? These were some of the things I thought about.

However, the first few weeks I felt were actually quite the opposite! God met me in a refreshing way; I read the Bible eagerly and got revelations of Jesus that touched me deeply and made an impression on me. God spoke to me personally! It was powerful for me to experience God on a level that my heart, and not just my head, understood. I’m really looking forward to continuing!

A testimony from the prayer room

There are a lot of people who come and spend time together with us in the prayer room both for longer and shorter periods of time. Several have spoken of how God met them and gave them new visions. Here is part of an email we received from a woman who was with us:
“I just had to write and say thanks…
I experienced that God healed me and restored me and that He gave me new vision and faith. I was on sick leave for a long time in the spring and summer… it says that if we go through the valley of the shadow of death He will lead us. These months have been just like going through that valley…
It was as if I was able to finish that chapter of my life during the days I spent with you, and I felt that God took the garment of mourning off me.
I also sought Him for direction and vision for the future, and I got lots of it…

Shingu Heo's testimony

I come from a traditional church in South-Korea. For me church was just a place where I go on Sundays. For sure, there were some times when I got revelations, but it did not last long.
   
I was 25 years old when I first heard about baptism in the Holy Spirit. This was in England. I was desperate to experience God, otherwise I was about to give up my Christian life. I wanted something alive and tangible because God is living. I believe that God wanted my heart to be desperate for Him. God started to open opportunities for me to get to know about Him more and better through ‘Alpha Course’ that I took in a local church in England. During the course, I got to know more about Jesus and the Holy Spirit. Then, the Holy Spirit touched me as I welcomed him. Everything changed. I started to talk to God and the Holy Spirit as I did to my friends. It was a relationship. The Word became alive, and all my perspective changed. I could pray, read the Word and worship God for hours with joy. Of course, there were ups and downs even after that.

Right after my Dicipleship training school, God led me to ‘Restore 24/7’, a group of people who longs for more of Jesus. One of our goals is to know and love Jesus more. I have been talking to God ever since I experienced Him in England. However, it was somehow hard for me to talk to Jesus.

A preacher thaught the Restore 24/7 team about prophesy and healing. She said it is all about friendship with Jesus. I could sense that she had a really good relationship or friendship with Jesus. Her teaching really inspired me, and afterwards I got to know Jesus better as I read about the life of Jesus in the Bible. And I started to talk to Jesus just like I do to my friends. Now the friendship with Jesus has already started, and I can see the differences in my life. He speaks to my heart and listens to my prayers. He does good things for me. It is real joy that I have Jesus as my best friend.

Many Christians in traditional churches do not have a personal relationship with God or Jesus. They think God is someone who is far away in the universe and watch us whether we sin or not. I can say with confidence that God longs for relationship with us. He is near. Come to God just as you are. You do not need to pretend that you are good enough to have relationship with God. You are already chosen to be His friend. Just take the invitation, and be His friend forever!
