Children ministry workers conference!

Children ministry workers conference!

Children ministry workers from all over the country were gathered in Ekeberghallen for a weekend together from 16th to 18th of April to focus on the most important they know: children.

The meeting hall was filled with children ministry workers: some from the north, some coming from the south. The theme for this conference was "most important in the world" and this theme was presented through songs, preaching, dramas and seminars. Mark Holmen, one of the main guest speakers, shared how one's home is the most important place to learn about faith. Marian Anderson, another main speaker talked about us as co-workers; how important it is for us to know that we, as children ministry workers, need each other. We need to stand together to be able to model Christian faith.

We, as the staff from Øystein project, were participating in the conference and sat up a stand. Through that we had a chance to meet many people who had been touched by the 2 Øystein cd's. We also got to meet some of our contact persons in local communes, and also one lady who desired to become a contact person for the Øystein project in Kristiansand. Wow! Throughout the conference the staff team got many opportunities to share and talk with people and give out a lot of information about the project. The seminars and meetings were also inspiring and refreshing for the whole team.
